Life's Little Burdens

We all pay the price...

I’ve made many mistakes…

At one point, I wished they’d never been made.

But you see, if we took back all of our mistakes, they would be repeated every day.

Though burdens from my past weigh me down, Metaphorically, I still carry them around.

It is a positive reminder, that boosts my self-esteem. Because I'm a stronger woman, creating new, better memories.

I take pity on this girl with mistakes like my pasts, when I hear her stories silhouette memories that I have.

Making up excuses to cover that perhaps she's insecure. Or that she's lost sight of her own self worth.

So I shared with her, my stories. But actions indicated I was ignored.

I was anger to just wasted my breath, but now I can say that I tried to change her mindset.

And maybe someday she’ll see, the better person she can be.

It’s not always our fault when we lose our way,

Sometimes our judgment is influenced by what others say.

But when they’re introduce into the shadows.

That's a darkened path only they can choose not to follow. - Nora Forrest

Karma is what takes away something good, to give us something better.

Mistakes are the obstacles that we have to face.

Learning from our mistakes...

Is our main purpose for being a live.

And without these lessons we won't survive.

Do what you want with your life,

But remember living itself is a sacrifice.

In the end it's always the same,

we’re just going to die either way.

 Confined

Caged, locked up, whatever you’d like to call it. An animal captured behind the glass, or a prisoner in restraints. A girl longingly, watching behind a window sanctioned from this unpredictable world she is unfamiliar with. I yearn… Like a bird, I wish to take flight, to soar against the skies. To break free of the chains I drag with me. But alas, I am still grounded. Therefore; bound, to the restrictions and the burdens.

-Nora Forrest

Wisdom we gain will be passed to children we conceive, hoping they'll acknowledge the advice they receive.
When the wisdom's passed on, we'll reminisce; the hurt that'll never fade. We'll try to save them the trouble of making the mistakes we made. I guarantee, the pain from watching your children and loved ones fall.
Will be the hardest obstacle we will have to face out of them all.

-Nora Forrest

If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.
